Recently had a conversation for this award I was nominated for. The award giving body asked me whether a 'strong personality' is such a good strategy when talking about issues I care about, and whether it may mean that I may not get invited in events or whatnot.

When you work in the field of human rights, you know how much crap there is around that people are willing to throw at you. Human rights are not achieved by asking nicely. If thats your idea on how human rights were born, you have a very skewed sense of reality, probably by living in your comfort zone.

And that's a hill I am willing to die on.
