If you look at the long-run total cost of electricity to the consumer, which is the most obviously relevant criterion, you rapidly see that systems with a lot of nuclear typically rank near the bottom. Systems with a lot of solar and wind, which we are always told are "cheap and getting cheaper", generally rank near the top.

Nuclear is expensive when you only do a little bit of it.
