I sat quietly while eating at my go-to fastfood chain before I went to school during college. It was quiet—almost empty, and yet I feel like it was the most peaceful time I had for a while. Spending time alone is no big deal for me. I have been at my darkest, isolating myself in a dark room. I also have been at my happiest, spending time with no one and still not feel lonely.

Being alone does not necessarily indicate loneliness because sometimes, solitude is what makes me feel reconnected to my soul. ✨
