My current pet peeve is all the over-perfumed laundry products on the market. I actually have to close my windows if the person next door is doing the washing, or the overwhelming smell gets in my house. And these days, if people walk past you on the street, the smell of their fabric softener leaves a plume about 5 metres long.
It can't be good for the environment, all that synthetic perfume going into the sewage system every time someone does their washing.
