I agree that Israel needed to respond. But there are responses and then there is the forceful relocation of hundreds of thousands, bombing homes, schools and hospitals to smithereens, killing tens of thousands of people and bringing a whole region to the brink of famine. Ironically all of that only serves to isolate Israel politically and to create hatred in the victims which will last generations, making the cycle of violence one that never ends.
