honestly, I think this is a pretty even-handed piece over all, and is a lot more realistic about the potential and drawbacks of LLM-generated code than most AI booster posts I come across. but i've been thinking a lot about this particular paragraph. why is it "bad news" that this is "still programming"? why is a technical detail about vintage hardware "an absolutely terrible thing to learn"?
