Division of labour is important but when it comes to securing your #bitcoin, you need to be the last and only line of defence.

Once the world is on a Bitcoin standard inshAllah, we will most definitely have bitcoin banks. Sure you can give up custody to them because they may be more “secure” but giving up your money is giving up your autonomy.

Money is power and if you don’t own, control and wield your own power, you have effectively neutered yourself.

I understand use cases for collaborative custody (e.g. 2 of 3 multi-sig setups) but those are exceptions.

However avoid giving 100% custody of your coins.

Get comfortable being a financially sovereign individual. Certain matters require radical amounts of responsibility and securing your autonomy is not the place to cut corners.
