i am enraged that whiteness has taken from me the possibility of authentic connection to my ancestors.

my grandmother never passed on a single tradition from Ireland except "wear green on st patricks" ... and if she had passed something on what would it be? something rooted in Christianity no doubt. was it good that St Patrick, eloping from his roman duties, converted ireland to Christianity? i dont know. seems like it's kinda messed things up and the pagan and druid ways i read about before sound pretty dope. were they actually better? who knows. that history is gone for 1500 years. many will say that St Patrick was a good guy though. seems likely. i bet romans were really chill and kind.
