Of course where I said "ZX Spectrum" I was identifying a specific 8-bit computer model that has very little custom design.
Other computers of that era like the Commodore 64 and the Atari 800XL had more complex custom graphics and sound chips.
But it's possible to consider those too, if anything like Harlequin exists for those other 8-bit computers.
I'm just not knowledgeable enough to comment about those specific communities.
