I'm pretty sure this is a female Monarch Butterfly. There were a couple of them around today, taking advantage of the wildflowers I planted (actually, more like tossed a bunch of seeds on some dirt). The bees love all the blooms, too. What I'm really curious about is the plant behind the butterfly. Five of them sprung up with the flowers, but there's no hint of any blossoms on these plants. Anyone have a clue? They're about 4 ft. tall.
