Yea. Sadly I’ve all but sunset Plebs. Some people jacked its layout and features and then got the credit as the “YouTube of Nostr”. So they’re welcome to keep working towards that. Maybe it’s my ego getting the best of me lol. I just worked so hard to build a lot of it from scratch and time to figure out how things should function architecturally for someone else to vibe code clone a lot of it overnight and get the glory. I’ve also determined most people don’t care about decentralized video or redundancy enough to warrant spending as much time and effort as I did on its complete rebuild. They just want large video support and no buffering and couldn’t care how that’s accomplished. I ended up getting burnt out. So now my main focus has been entirely on Nymchat and maintenance releases on Nosflare relay and NostrMedia.com service. That said, what you mentioned about chunking is exactly what is done for any file larger than 125mb on NostrMedia.com, with maximum size of 5GB supported. Would be neat if someone wanted to keep working on Plebs and integrate something like that for other hosts, but for now I see no reason for it to be me.
