many times. but it hit me like a freight train when I went to Poland in the 90‘s and I had to exchange the money in a little exchange shop.

20 (!!!!!!!) fuckin years later, I went again. and STILL the SAME people are inside these booths exchanging euros for polish currency.
i tried to buy stuff ‚electronically’. and it was really difficult. i realized how fractured the fiat system(s) are.
even inside the ‚eurozone‘ in Portugal, I could not pay with a card.

there is so much friction with all these currencies, that I realized, how much it sucks and there is a huge need for ONE currency that everybody agrees on.
one that has all the right properties and is easy to use.

lightning is for payments.

and boom, there it is!
It‘s a no brainer.
