Yes, yes, I know, it grows wild through rhizomes. But it is also excellent winter fodder for rabbits and a nice building material for the garden. So I'm kind of tempted to try it out here in Northern Germany zone 7b. My own research says Phyllostachys edulis (Moso) is hardy to zone 6–9, the most tasty and grows thick stems up to 8m. Is it even containable with a rhizome barrier? Thoughts anyone? #gardening #SelfSufficiency
