In college where it was -20F outside and inside +80F (steam heating), my feet would be sweating in my boots in class. Never mind glasses frosted over. Then leaving the class/building for another class/building I would be freeze dried only to repeat this. The coat with straps might have been nice, but nothing helped for the feet or glasses. But for the shop or subway sounds good.
