True story: I once went to Dubai on business, and I was staying 10 minutes away from that mall, the one with the indoor ski slope.
To this day, seeing a whole, enormous ski slope indoors, in the middle of the desert, with actual snow and people in Bedouin garb skiing down, is the absolute most surreal experience of my life.
It convinced me we are doomed as a species. Whatever apocalypse may come we absolutely deserve it.
