Blaming poverty and social inequalities for the recent increase in racism and fascism is a cop out tbh.
Historically racism starts at the top and filters down. It’s systemic. It’s in every aspect of our society but always starts with money and power.
Do fascists harness social unrest for their own agenda? Absolutely.
But don’t forget, even in the ranks of the wealthiest people on the planet racism exists.
It’s not a “working class issue”.
It’s a white person’s issue.
