to me, matrix should never have had any sequels and i didnt bother to watch the last one yet, hence my stupid question.
A bit OT maybe but my fav movie on the topic is World on a Wire, a German 70s two-parter directed by Fassbinder. It's like Matrix 20 years earlier and with a Clockwork Orange aesthetic haha. I love it, a lot. I think it is available in English too but not sure tbh.
And afaik it is based on a novel by a french dude called 'Simulacron 3'
Which is still on my wish list, so no review there ^^
