my main problem is the name. Put it this way: if there's a completely innocent benzene issue with a batch of Liquid Death which causes me to expire after drinking it, and my death shows up on the news, literally everyone is going to joke that

And that alone is a fate worth avoiding.
I also worry that the employees have the same thought. Some guy might even discount some evidence for contamination, or not exercise due diligence, thinking "heh come on it would be only be on brand for this to kill people".
Superficially this is debilitating superstition but there's some underlying substance, OK? I want my fizzy water to be called "CAT GIRL PEE"
