Saw this TV show about Charleroi in Belgium. It's a city in the French speaking part (Wallon) that used to have a big coal mine industry, and thus now has a lot of abandoned industrial sites. Might be worth checking out if you're looking for now urbex locations. There's an impressive cooling tower there, and an abandoned swimming pool that look great.
There's urban safari tours that take you to these buildings as well.
