I know your question is aimed elsewhere, but to clarify my own comment -- I'm talking about the "why don't the Democrats do something [beyond lawsuits, legislative jousting, and press releases] about Trump" folks, not the "why don't the Democrats do something [about their aging leadership, thin bench, flagging local/state operations, & waning support among working people]".
Latter seems reasonable to me. Former suggests a confusion about what electoral parties are and do.
