I don't think "reality" is the right word here. Right and wrong aren't physical things that a person can touch or eat or something. Right and wrong are OBJECTIVE, but they are not real. In the same way that the number 7 and all of its properties are objective, but not real.
Besides, feelings and reason are not opposites. The biggest reason people use logic and reasoning is because orderly things make them feel good, and contradicting themselves makes them feel bad.
Additionally, the feelings a person experiences change drastically depending on whether they've done all the relevant reasoning for the thing they would have feelings about. And it's not really possible for a person to understand and respond to their feelings unless they use reasoning.
I'm not saying feelings cause or arbitrate reality. I'm saying that feelings are ABOUT reality. As for purpose, it is an objective concept, (which is why people apologize) and feeling and reasoning are how we investigate purpose. In the same way that performing calculations is how we investigate the objective truths hiding within mathematics.
