My library has online access to all national Australian newspapers, and their archives, as well as all the local state papers, The Guardian, Times, New York Post and their archives.
I can access loads of magazines, films and ebooks online.
They have genealogy services I can use.
I have signed up for the state library for free as well, that has even more facilities.
Maybe your #library doesn't have as many features, but if you live in Australia it may well do.
