As time goes on, I'm increasingly convinced that ambient awareness has had dire, dire consequences for our ability to relate to one another.

I will never be perfect enough for every platform, and neither will you. But the ubiquity of posting has ended ephemeral communication and left us more bitter and sad. Every flaw, every blemish lives forever enough to become a dunk, a meme, or a joke.

I don't think our brains aren't built for that. I don't think society is built for that.
