But the star down there is, by some margin, the Mary Rose.

Sunk in the Solent in 1545, she was Henry VIII's flag ship. She was rediscovered in the late '70s, dug out, and brought to the surface in 1982.

I remember the fanfare when the original museum was opened, but have never actually visited. So I was looking forward to seeing her.

And I was genuinely moved by what I saw.
