That’s an accident. The necessity of consent focuses on intentional contractual agreements. To prevent an accident, you have the right to intervene to prevent loss of life or damage to property.

There can be cases with regret where nothing morally wrong happened. For example, selling a share that ends up going up later on. Regret is future information, so how can you decide based on it?

Employees might not regret being an employee but their rights are violated regardless
