Life is not black and white. Life's complexities can't be reduced to sayings or constants. There is no manual to life no matter how hard you try to pitch the Bible; a good manual gets updated, revised, and a new edition for new generations. There's no easy to discern point to life. For some it's a gift, and others a curse. There are all sorts of people of all sorts of backgrounds and experiences that are not like your own, but are just as valid as the ones that shaped you into who you are. You are not the center of the universe. Neither am I. If you think you have everything figured out, you're either in denial or blind. You're bad at empathy. We all are. If we were collectively better at empathy there wouldn't be hate groups telling people they're wrong for existing. Listen more than you speak. Never trust a fart. Save instead of spend when it counts. Spend when it makes you happy. Admit when you're wrong and people will like you. If you can't figure out why people don't like you, ask yourself how long it's been since you've been proven wrong. No one is perfect. Perfect doesn't exist. If you stop chasing perfection you just might catch a glimpse of the beauty life has to offer. Treat others as you would like to be treated and never assume what anyone feels because you cannot possibly know. Don't tell people what to believe, it'll warn everyone that you're an idiot before you've told them directly. Logic, reason, and knowledge are the cornerstones of understanding.
