Fwiw Pubky is what Bluesky would be with a decentralised identity... Focus on indexing was already why Bluesky was designed with that architecture... And it is a great design.
Nostr was aiming for censorship resistance.
And yes, Nostr can do censorship resistance way better than Bluesky and Pubky, but only because it chooses to sacrifice indexing and scale.
The only way to fix Nostr to be indexing friendly, is to use an identity system that doesn't compromise on strong consistency... But we haven't yet figured an identity system that does that in a decentralised way better than Pkarr.
But if you don't want to scale, maybe you don't need Pkarr, maybe Bitcoin + opreturn is enough.
Ideally we can find something that is based on Bitcoin but actually scales, because that will allow for things Pkarr can't do unfortunately.
