i get so annoyed when people tell me "oh well you're in a small niche cause you make 2D pixel art games" like mfer 3D was and still is the worst thing that has happened to side-view 2D games. Most 2D games with pixel art are perfectly readable about what terrain you can collide with and what's in the background because you have full control over that shit cause you place every dang pixel whereas every 2.5D side-view game with 3D assets looks visually noisy and confusing and no i will not be taking any counter examples thank you very much

pixel art games look better because they read better
