I also had the thought that churches & religious leaders could band together to influence the nation state to be restorative, healing, and compassionate to society...WITHOUT force and coercion.
The religions and splintered religious sects are so fragmented and fighting amongst themselves, that I don't see them making a difference. Maybe I am wrong. I see people of all ages flocking to church, then I see the local news, and I see foolish & draconian actions taken by government. There seems to be a BIG disconnect!
