Adam Mastroianni has fast become one of my favourite writers but I don't think he's on Fedi.
His latest post https://www.experimental-history.com/p/whos-got-the-guts-to-go-to-the-moon while perhaps a little naively unfair to what progress has been made in cancer research and how complex that problem is, highlights the wastage of low-risk investment into ideas.
