I did have a very broad education. And it included classes on a lot of basic skills, like research and philosophy and critical thinking (and just general life skills like how to cook, bookkeeping etc.)

I think in hindsight this might have equipped me in ways that reduce my possible dependence on machines for learning and processing information?
