Spam filters are omnipresent on the internet including Nostr. Your email has spam filters. High risk websites get filtered from your browser. Nostr relays can decide what to include or not include. Nostr users can mute other users they don’t wish to see.

Bitcoin has always had filters as well. It wasn’t until Core v30 got released that the gates to vast spam were opened.

By doing nothing, you are tacitly agreeing to this spam. You are free to succumb to defeatism, but don’t act like it is some noble deed.

My node is not your Dropbox. I will disallow the content that is negative for Bitcoin as a monetary network as I see fit.

You can keep transmitting the most repugnant imagery if you like. The choice is yours.
