So far what I know is that is was a Soviet-made "flying tank", a cruise missile with a hard shell as like a tank. A #[url=https://f.haeder.net/search?tag=Tomahawk]Tomahawk[/url] cannot penetrate the reinforced walls, but such a "flying tank" can. That would also explain why the air defenses didn't respond, because such thin air vessel isn't detected by radar so easily (compared to a passenger airplane which is very easy to detect).
