Accusing people of pedantry is a very common response to people pointing out technical errors. But, for better or worse, nuclear power is a technical field, and attention to detail is important.
Whether people support or oppose nuclear power, the VAST majority of them go around making inaccurate claims. That is not the way to have a rational discussion. For example, ignoring all long-lived fission products except uranium and plutonium? That's, at BEST, ignorant.
