📢 Attention Secret Shoppers!
After listening to community feedback, the requirements for claiming the 1 BCH merchant-testing bounty have been updated.
The previous requirement for merchants to sign up for BCHPay and BCHLocal before qualifying for the bounty created unnecessary friction. Since the primary goal is to test existing BCH payment setups, that requirement has been relaxed.
✅ Updated Rules
If the merchant is already listed on Paytaca Maps and the BCH payment works successfully:
- You qualify for the bounty.
- No BCHPay or BCHLocal signup is required.
If the payment fails:
- The merchant must complete BCHPay registration and BCHLocal verification before the bounty can be claimed.
If the merchant is not listed on Paytaca Maps:
- They must also complete BCHPay registration and BCHLocal verification for the bounty to qualify.
The objective remains the same: verify real-world BCH payment acceptance and help improve the everyday payment experience.
