since it is so unacceptable that Bitcoin be a transparent blockchain, I propose that we abandon it entirely. Pirate Chain (ARRR) is fully fungible and private based on universal zk-Snarks for every transaction. It is secp256k1-derived, so funds sent to a key derived from people’s npubs should be spendable.

If we’re so worried about open ledgers, and people don’t want to use Lightning (I think we’ve seen enough proof that is true) then there are other options. Bitcoin Core refuses to add any features for fungibility or transaction secrecy. There is always the option of going elsewhere, if these people are so afraid of using Bitcoin.
