⚡️🚨 NEW - 33 people arrested and more than $54 million seized in a massive operation against networks accused of stealing cryptocurrency through social engineering.

Authorities in the United Arab Emirates announced that they have dismantled four international criminal networks specializing in, among other things, hacking crypto wallets, social engineering scams, and money laundering.
The operation, dubbed “End of Battle,” led to the arrest of 33 suspects of 12 different nationalities.

The methods used were particularly alarming; some members are accused of using fake identities to steal cryptocurrency, while others allegedly resorted to physical assault to force their victims to reveal their access codes.

In total, investigators examined more than 3,000 wallets and uncovered approximately $2.4 billion in suspected money-laundering transactions.
