I'm fairly confident that X has changed / is lying about their engagement metrics.
My dashboard claims I'm gaining 5,000+ followers per month, but my follower count has been flat all year.
A charitable explanation is they used to report net follower count changes and now they're counting every spambot that follows you and then has their account deleted shortly thereafter.
