I had a recovered memory last night: It was 2011, my first day at my first tech job at a small company, maybe a dozen people. The company went out for a welcome breakfast (which is nice). The CEO introduced me, then turned to me and said: "I give this to all new employees," handing me a copy of Atlas Shrugged.
Being me at 21, I blurted out something like: I've read it. She's a bad writer and worse philosopher. If you like it, you're going to love actually good sci-fi. Lasted 6 months.
