Last year 2025 I got ride of some American Big Tech (GAFAM) companies' services such as Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, Threads, WhatsApp, Microsoft Xbox, Netflix, Disney+, and Bluesky. Back 2020, during global coronavirus pandemic events, I removed Twitter quickly before billionaire Musk's takeover. Back 2015, I removed Windows for Ubuntu Linux and Manjaro.
Today, only Google and Amazon remains. Last December I ordered Google to generate and compile my personal data related to my YouTube playlists and subscription lists only, I never used Gmail because I use ProtonMail since 2014. I'm going to accelerate the complete removal of Google and Amazon from my life this January 2026 to get full digital freedom.
I switched from Google Maps to CoMaps/OSM last year for geospatial orientation. I fully de-googled my current Android smartphone for free/libre and open source apps from F-Droid, and I'll get an /e/OS phone from Murena soon to get total digital freedom and sovereignty.
I refuse and never install banking apps because they are government-approved surveillance tools to spy on their citizens' every moves.
