I only ever intended to assist someone else when my kids started playing, but there was a shortage of coaches, so… battlefield promotion kind of thing.

But it turned out that I was good at it & kids that played for me liked it enough to keep coming back.

The varsity HS teams, normally impossible for kids that played rec, are filled with kids I coached. Most starters.

But my son aged out & my daughter didn’t want to play her final year, other interests competing. Felt like it was time.
