I wanted a social media platform where people talked about life. I don't believe any of them are good for for promoting causes. The algos steer conversations into emotional response territory. I didn't learn about bitcoin because of twitter. I did get emotional about dumb things there, which is why I left.

I got most of my info from blogs and substack sort of document lists. My mostly bitcoin maximalism (I still have a little gold, stocks, and real estate) came from reading and listening to podcasts.

Social media platforms are overrated.
