I bought a new city bike. After a bikeless period of at least 16 months or so, maybe longer.
For the first five minutes I biked like a tourist; all kinds of navigational, Amsterdam bike dance rule-following, and collision avoidance systems had to come online from their long slumber. But it went better during the next 15 minutes of bike ride.
My muscles, unfortunately, are completely atrophied and will need a few week to reset.
