The US Consulate in NZ has never impressed me, but their decision to avoid any 'Consular Outreach Visits' to the South Island this year really sucks. To renew my child's passport, I'll have to take (at least) a day off to fly with my child to Auckland just to submit passport renewal data. A substantial faff & expense.
The NZ process, even badly delayed due to being underfunded by this & previous gov'ts, is far easier & better.
