Never watched FMA because I was too old even when it launched. But of course some other manga or anime or books covered the idea sure. I just found it worthwhile in Frieren anime form - and that's what most people consumed. It's an interesting idea, the passage of 1,000 years. At least it's somewhat explored you know.
