The latter is great, but not a protocol and thus not interoperable with clients and no discovery system... Last time i checked, spotiface was the biggest podcast provider in the world... Hence Podcast 2.0! It's retrot compatible, you can use a legacy podcast app too (Except of course apple or spotify!) Search "eardiod" in your podcast app! Only draw back is that you can't support the artist directly.
