Love hammock camping in winter because it keeps me up off the snow, which would have soaked a tent in these melting conditions. Also no need to dig out a flat spot.

Here I haven't put the underquilt on yet. Tarp is there to keep the dew off. I generally rig it pretty flat like this I can see out and let's airflow through, unless it's rainy or there's a cold wind I want to block. In that case there's a "storm mode" where it can entirely enclose the hammock.
