I had to stop in the realtor's office on the block anyway, and I asked them if they knew what was going on. No idea. Falun Gong often sets up a small protest across from the Chinese consular office here. That will usually bring one or two police cars or small vans but nothing like this. And there's no Falun Gong today. At least not yet. I'm tempted to hang around and see what will happen, but the cops were already giving me the side eye for walking up and down the block.
