Today is the first full day of respite I've had in in six weeks, and it was brilliant. Weather so good it was like a drug. Worked in the garden, went to the pool for my customary 1km swim, exposed my skin to the sun and read fantastic fiction. Listened to Jonathan Richman, Jazz Butcher, and my fabulous 900 song compilation of punk/post-punk and new wave hits. Chatted amiably with visiting Jehovah's WItnesses and managed not to say the atheistic equivalent of "NI" at them, or ask them to cut down the forest with a herring.
