As far as I understand, a parasite:
* Needs the other entity to survive and reproduce
* Harms that entity against the other entity's will (otherwise it is a symbiotic relationship)
* Lives on or in the organism (otherwise it is just higher in the food chain)
I don't think a lot of things which you described meet the criteria.
